In just the last six months, NSTAR launched two separate initiatives in response to customer demand:
- Customers using NSTAR’s asset relocation services – a very intense process that involves moving equipment worth hundreds of thousands of dollars – requested the ability to more closely monitor the progress of their move. NSTAR took its customers’ feedback to heart, and in October 2020, launched a proprietary QR code tracking platform that allows customers to monitor their asset relocation projects in real time. This new platform delivers unparalleled transparency and accountability, so customers never have to worry about the status of their asset relocation projects again.
- To accelerate tool and facility support projects for its customers, NSTAR opened its first fabrication facility in Boise, Idaho. The new site, which opened in December 2020, reduces the cost and lead time needed for NSTAR to supply components and subassemblies to its customers. The site also includes a specialized training center to meet unique customer requirements.
