Innovative Product Range
Radwell stands out from competitors by manufacturing its own automation products. We recruited a Brand Manager in 2015 to help execute our strategy to become a leading manufacturer in the automation industry. We research top selling products, manufacturer them in-house and promote them as Radwell Verified Substitutes. High-quality replacements saving customers up to 95% off original parts. Our state-of-the-art in-house repair centre, housing industrial machinery and test fixtures, allows us to repair, test and develop all types of industrial automation parts. Verified Substitutes have been developed to meet customers requirements and provide customers with a more cost-effective option without comprising on quality.
This innovative idea significantly changed the brand identity of Radwell, as we were not only considered a global leader in supplying and repairing automation parts, but also quickly became recognised as a leading manufacturer of automation parts, setting us apart from competitors. Today our range of 1,037 Verified Substitutes have sold over 500,000 products globally with a revenue of over £50 million.
As an essential business we remained open during the COVID-19 pandemic to support food processors and manufacturers, ensuring their automation equipment ran 24/7. To support these companies and essential workers further, Radwell used their global buying power to source personal protective equipment (PPE) and donated thousands of face masks to local charities and medical facilities. To go further with our response to the pandemic, we designed and manufactured innovative PPE products in-house to help reduce the spread of the virus.
Following research into PPE products on the market we concluded that door opening devices could be instrumental in reducing the spread of the virus within the workplace. Our engineers manufactured a foot operated step that reduces contact with door handles, as well as a tool to assist opening doors and using touchscreens. Branded as ‘The RadStep-2020’ and ‘The RadTouch-2020’, these products are available online 24/7 and global sales have reached over 100,000. We are proud that these PPE products are successfully being sold globally, with global sales reaching over 100,000. Companies including Smurfit Kappa, Taylor’s of Harrogate, Ardagh Glass and Scholle UK Ltd have purchased The RadStep in bulk quantities and installed them in their facilities. We are proud to have recently been awarded the Make UK ‘Innovation Award’ for our RadStep-2020.
By designing and manufacturing in-house innovative PPE products, this had a significant impact on maintaining our continual growth that Radwell pride themselves on. Our innovative approach, desire to succeed and customer-focused attitude will keep Radwell at the forefront of customer’s minds during the pandemic and beyond. Building lasting relationships with numerous industries and understanding industry specific needs, ensures the Radwell brand will go from strength to strength.
