Tackling age old industry issues in new and innovative ways has won Brainboxes customers around the world. However, it is the commitment to quality and personal service that most customers remark on – a tradition Luke has maintained since he took over the family business in 2015.
Luke regularly speaks at industry events, round tables and at universities, and has been interviewed for both regional and national news during 2020. He is a big fan of automation but takes a hands-on approach to running a tight knit SME. Prior to joining Brainboxes, Luke achieved a first-class degree in Electronic Engineering from York, was awarded a Kauffman scholarship, won HSBC’s Young Entrepreneur of the year 2008, and achieved NESTA funding for his start-up business.
The pandemic hit industry hard, Luke was able to ensure Brainboxes has continued to thrive; securing both significant export successes, and an exciting new partnership with a German distributor whilst retaining 100% existing staff, and even employing new starters in production.
