Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Napier has adapted its approach both internally and externally to support clients in maintaining the same level of PR budget. This included embarking on a re-structure within the organization, choosing to absorb Armitage Communications (which was acquired in 2019) to begin working fully under the Napier brand; splitting the team into key areas of expertise: Content, PR, Digital and Operations, to make it easier for clients to access the talent across the whole company.
With this new structure, Napier was able to introduce several new PR tactics, identifying a need from clients that wasn’t being fulfilled due to travel restrictions and the cancellations of trade shows.
This included expanding our digital services offering, by developing and launching our BoothCloud platform. Designed specifically for the B2B technology industry, BoothCloud enables us to rapidly deploy virtual trade show stands for our clients, providing a reusable booth with low development cost and cost of ownership. Other new PR tactics included working with key publications to secure interviews on specialised podcasts and enhancing PR with Google ad campaigns.
Our innovative and proactive approach resulted in maintaining or growing all clients’ budgets as well as being successful in winning several new clients including Pelion, Foundries.io, Fluke, Hydronix, Raltron, Wittra, Eaton Hydraulics, and EFFECT Photonics.
Although we have faced the tough challenge of adapting to a full virtual approach, whilst implementing a new team structure, Napier has still attained several noteworthy achievements.
This includes being named as a Rising Star agency in the B2B Marketing UK Agencies Benchmarking report 2021. Ranking as number three on the B2B Marketing UK â€˜Rising Stars’ league table, we also appeared in B2B Marketing’s top UK agency list and in the fastest-growing 15 agencies.
In the past year, we have also expanded the marketing activities for the agency, launching our own webinar and podcast series, after recognizing we needed to adapt to a virtual approach and ensure we were still providing clients and prospects with the latest guidance and insights into key marketing trends, and integral topics.
